Plastic Straitjacket

Got looks, got attitude, got some good PR buzz around you, can avoid being a disaster on the screen, well then you are fairly eligible to act in movies I have seen of late "Dev D", "No smoking" etc. No these ain't bad movies at all, but I am trying to focus on this new genre of movies where the skill of acting has taken a backseat, and the plot, background score have taken over.
You could more or less put anyone in that character and would have got similar output as the movie.
Purely from an acting skill view, this is analogous to the Backstreet boys kinda pop music culture, too plastic but sells nonetheless.
